Hope you all are in good spirit and enjoying your day and life. I am in a good spirit and enjoying my day and life in cold snowing day in Long Island NY, Today I am going to talk about the classes I do which I never planned I will. My drawing and painting classes for kids. My plan was to teach the adults only but kids are so amazing that they just found their way to enter my studio and my heart and convinced me to share my knowledge with them by just looking at me and saying -----
"Can you please teach me how to do painting" literally just that sentence by few kids was enough to forget about my plan of only teaching adults. I thought it would be tough and a lot of work to teach kids, I was right it is tough and a lot of work but I absolutely love teaching them. They come to classes and they don't even know how to hold a brush and then after attending few classes they start recognizing how to start, how to do the base, how to paint the main subject, how to do the outlining, how to finish by signing their name. With each and every child I feel like I am going through the same journey of learning again and again and when each of them finish their  painting, I feel like I finished my master piece. Its not just them but me too, who feels like being on the seventh sky. I feel that thunder of innocent happiness in my each breath like I am also a kid like them. They make me live my childhood again and again. I teach 4 years and older kids and they surprise me the most every time when they remember what they learned in their last class. Even though I should not be surprised and should get used to this but I don't really expect them to remember their last class as they are only 4 year olds but they do shock me all the time in a very good, pleasant and proud way. Children are just amazing and have their own unique qualities and habits which show through their skin and make then very special. I love it that I see it so clearly in them like Kaavya will not paint anything without asking about why we are painting what we are painting. Arnav will act like he needs a break because he wants a cookie, Avani looks like a very serious girl but you can see happy fun loving character when she is working with colors in class. Rishi will never look in camera and smile while posing for a picture, he will either smile or look at camera, Diya will do her level best that her painting looks the best in the class, Ishita always like to do something different, Pearl and Pahal will always fight with each other like all siblings do but they will never sit apart from each other or paint differently, they will always copy each other so they end up with the same painting. Suvan likes to have a lot of fun while painting. Samarata want to learn everything in one class. Hurgun wants to make sure she get personal attention at least few times in the class. Kahaan will alway look for challenging work in his paintings, I can go on and on and on about all my students without looking into any notes or name lists as I can never forget any of them whether I mention their name or not. They are all my angles and I love them all equally. I never thought I will teach kids initially and now I think that I might always teach kids.

    My name is Dinni Kaur.
I am a mixed media artist. I am going to maintaining this blog as a way to post about the medium and form of art work I do and teach which includes painting, clay and design classes. The posts will be spontaneous and will have information about what is going on in my Studio and in my art world. It will also be about information according to when I come across old or new findings related to artwork.
Talking about any art medium on this blog is simply my impressions and a way for me to share my personal thoughts experience and research on this adventure as an artist. Please do your own research before using any information you find in my blog. I want to share what i know but don't take any kind of responsibility when you are working by yourself. If you attend my classes then its a different story as I am around when you are working on a art piece.
