Warli drawing & painting is a style of tribal art mostly created by the tribal people from the North Sahyadri Range in India. This range encompasses cities such as Dahanu, Talasari, Jawhar, Palghar, Mokhada, and Vikramgad of Palghar district. This tribal art was originated in Maharashtra, where it is still practiced today.​
In warli painting classes you will learn both drawing and painting warli art style and techniques. Step by step instructions on how to draw and paint this style is given online live. You will follow the drawing steps and keep practicing on paper until you get it right then you will draw it on a canvas and paint it. You will complete 2 to 3 canvases in 6 classes and 5 to 6 canvases in 12 classes.

Material
  • Material needed: Paper, Pencils, Eraser, Acrylic Paints or Pencil Colors, Brushes round Size 1 or 2, and a flat brush medium size to color backgrounds, Water jar, Small Towel, Toothpicks and canvas​ (3 canvases for 6 classes & 6 canvases  for 12 classes) 
  • ​​ If you want us to provide material you will have to buy that separately and pick it up.
  • For Virtual classes video chat capable device and a wifi connection at the time of the class is needed.
  • If you want us to provide material, we have an option for you to buy it from us and curbside pick up is available at our Hicksville NY or Elmont NY location.
  • If you want us to ship the material please give us a call to place that order.

  • Our main studio is closed due to COVID. 
  • We still are doing limited in person classes with small groups and private sessions. For this option please call for details.
  • ​​Step by step instructions given on a video chat or in-person.
  • You are required to have a smart phone or tablet and wifi at the time of the class. If you could connect it to your TV its a plus if not its not required.
  • You will download an app  (zoom.us) we will send you the link to connect.
  • Before the class starts you will set up the phone or tablet camera such that we could see what you are doing and you will see our instructions on that screen.
  • ​​We have no refund policy only rescheduling is allowed with 24 hr notice before class starts.
